Blogged in The Woodwork: Why dSLR (and not a pocket camera)?

Crazy Marie
Tully’s, Pacific Heights, San Francisco, California

Leica M8, Cosina-Voigtländer NOKTON 50mm f1.1
Aperture (raw fine tuning, vignette), Photoshop (slim & trim), nik Dfine, nik Color Efex Pro 3.0 (remove color cast, dynamic skin softener), Kabuto Image Tools (eyes & teeth enhance, radiant people)
1/250sec @ ƒ1.1, ISO160, 50mm (67mm)

SF Filmore and around town.

It all started when I made a snide comment about how sipping her tea makes her look retarded in photos.

Shooting notes: Strangely, the only time I got the focusing right with this camera was when Marie was making crazy faces. Calculated depth of field is 3/4 of an inch.

Processing notes: This is me post-processing the colors to make it look like Ryan took the photo. 😉
