I know this isn’t likely to be a PHP posting (I’d thinking they’re probably thinking more along the lines of C or Java but I don’t think it’s been settled), but since I don’t know the details (they’re in stealth and I don’t ask), I can’t say. Besides, it’s a good friend who told me of this job.

The Opportunity
Unique chance. Very early stage internet startup. Planning to transform a multi-billion dollar e-commerce industry. Founder (Stanford grad) instrumental for the success of three web companies (one sold for $1.2B, one for $200M, one currently valued at $100+M).
The Position
Experienced, well-rounded engineer with a can-do attitude. Has to be super-smart, with tremendous work ethic, dreaming big. Jack-of-all-trades: should be skilled in both front end and back-end work (though having a primary expertise in either is OK). Being able to think as an architect is a big plus. Full or Part-time.
Requirements
- BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent (Ph.D. a plus) from a top school.
- Sublime Analytical/Troubleshooting skills.
- Several years of hard-core software development experience with both front and back end work
