I was really burned out from partying. But Patrick IM’d me saying that he was in the city for one night only and extrovert that he is, I knew I had to find a party at the last minute, sans costume.
Andrew Mager was kind enough to invite me to the party sponsored by CNET business.
It was a lot of fun even though I only knew ten people in the entire place, a couple people actually tried to use my name to get past the bouncer at the door—and it worked!. Can you believe that? 😀
Also, since this photo got insane viewage as it was uploading, I thought posting it before the jump can’t hurt. I’m putting it really small so you click on it though… 😀
[the jump]
Easily my favorite costume was the lolcat.
What can I say? I’m a sucker for cute girls and the printed word. 😀 Read her front and back. 😀
Of course, I couldn’t pass up an opportunity to add to Mager’s Facebook Profile photo collection. This girl was our bartender!
By the way, my off camera batteries crapped out early on. And if you’re wondering why the photos are soft (besides the fact that I messed with the focusing), I think I’ve been too hard on my Tokina and it’s developed some play on the front element. I need to figure a way to contact them and have them fix it.
Processing-wise, I was shooting for a more indoor pocket camera flash look this time. I noticed that I prefer oversaturated shots and I needed a change of pace. If you don’t like it, I apologize… but not that much. 😀
Thanks everyone for being there and being such great sports! Sorry I couldn’t take better photos. Keep coming to events and saying hi to me and I’ll iterate my way to something better.
My costume
A couple people asked me what I was dressed as. On Mager’s suggestion, I came dressed in my South Bay costume: complete with blue oxford button-down, khakis, glasses (no the fact that I was too tired to wear contacts had nothing to do with it), tags from mixers and conference badges.
One of the girl’s from the front actually recognized my costume from my RSVP. Whoo hoo!
The photo was taken by soon-to-be birthday girl, Halle Tecco. Be sure to chip in for her present which is one-laptop-per-child.
Bonjour… I was just wondering if you knew the other photographer that was there? Zombierazzi or something like that or know of where someone can get other pictures which were taken? Thank you much 🙂

@Heather I don’t know. Maybe someone on CNET’s internal mailing list does?
Thank you much
Awesome!!
