I noticed it about 2 minutes into your rant, and spent the rest of the time trying to figure out how to tell you without being rude or weird.

That was before I knew you, though.  Now I'd just say "Hey Terry, zip up dammit!" or I'd come up with some non sequitur like "Arguing VI versus EMACS is like asking someone boxers or briefs - the answer doesn't matter if your fly's down."</description>
