Do you know there is a forum on OTN for downlaod issues?  The OTN team are always interested hearing about issues you might have to solve for future use. Try this: http://forums.oracle.com/forums/forum.jspa?forumID=29

That said, some of our developers are on the Mac and have Firefox and have experienced the same.
