Your memory is pretty accurate.  Although I wasn't so much ignoring Andrei as I hadn't recognized him yet. 

When I started gathering pictures for the original trading cards, I kept coming back to your Flickr account. That's why I made the comment you quoted above. My first impression of you was that you were a very good photographer. (Which I've come to realize was a very accurate first impression)

Of course this was at OSCON '06 and that was only my second conference I attended for Zend and it was the first one with any members of the PHP community so yes, I was a bit nervous at meeting all of you.  :)
