2007-06-14 My ten seconds at WWDC

Tuesday, June 19th, 2007

A friend of a friend hooked me up with a WWDC pass. Shhh… The real reason I went there was to meet a friend, but he had to miss out that day because of bugs and a release. (I won’t name names, but you suck!)
Unfortunately, I was too tired from driving back from Lunch 2.0 [...]

PHP (and mac) pinup

Tuesday, May 1st, 2007

I was catching up on some of my newsreading when I ran across this article, with the quote:

Image from Macenstein and model from Suicide Girls. (horny php guy desktopper)

I thought I’d make it into this desktop image as a shout-out to all you (male) PHP devs out there. (There was an old PHP image I [...]

(And after I spent an hour getting [...]

I used to work with a guy named Haiping, a former developer at Microsoft who was hired just two people before me at Plaxo. He has some crazy C++ skills as well as is pretty damn good at that headshot thing in PC first person shooters. Last time I was in South Bay, I stopped [...]

Callwave

Monday, February 26th, 2007

Callwave recently released a widget to provide free visual voicemail. The idea seems to be that you configure your account to do a conditional call forwarding to CallWave’s servers. From there, the widget provides access to the website to allow you to view your voicemail.
Clever.

Download the widget.

Wednesday, January 24th, 2007

I finally got around to looking at Apple’s Mac OS X Leopard site. The videos are interesting.

My Mac is Brilliant

Tuesday, January 23rd, 2007

I was reading Presentation Zen, when I happened upon this James Blount/Apple homage:

I’m not too sure what to think.
